Okay, this is well beyond the Beltway, but we thought some readers might find interesting the report of the Right to Know Coalition in Australia: Suppression of court verdicts; inordinate delays in Freedom of Information requests, FOI searches abandoned because of spiralling costs, journalists dragged through the courts for not revealing sources.
