Becky Lynch Fires Back At Claims That Ronda Rousey Is Responsible For Women Headlining WrestleMania

There has been a lot of talk recently about the legacy of UFC Hall of Famer and current RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, in particular when it comes to the main event of this year’s WrestleMania.

While many fans have wanted the women of WWE to headline the Showcase of Immortals for several years, it would appear that “Rowdy” Ronda’s upcoming match against Becky Lynch, rumored to also feature Charlotte Flair, will make history as the first to break down that barrier.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross even stated during a recent interview with Busted Open Radio that Rousey was “the catalyst of this whole thing” — an idea that some fans agree with, and others vehemently disagree with. What else is new?

Chiming in on her upcoming match, The Man herself wrote on her official Instagram account, “People talking ballocks – Ronda’s name from the past might have opened a path to the main event, but my work in present will make sure people give a shit when we get there.”

So what do you think? Is Ronda Rousey responsible for opening the door to the maine vent of WrestleMania, or was it the hard work of the former NXT Four Horsewomen and others like Paige, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Ember Moon, Natalya and the long lineage of incredible women that came before them? Sound off in the comments section below.
