Jeff Jarrett Files New Motion In Anthem Lawsuit
As noted, Jeff Jarrett filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of Impact Wrestling, earlier this month.
According to PWInsider.com, on August 24th, Jarrett filed a motion with the United States District Court of Tennessee regarding the Global Force Wrestling master copy tapes. The motion calls for an expedited discovery process in the case, and requests that master copies of GFW content be given to Jarrett so the content can be copied as Jarrett has filed to trademark all 16 hours of the GFW “Amped” content, in order to prove he owns the content. Jarrett alleges that Impact aired GFW content on PPV without paying Jarrett and/or Global Force Wrestling. Below is an excerpt from the August 24th motion filed by Jarrett:
Both the request for expedited determination and expedited relief are necessitated by a Copyright Office imposed deadline of September 8, 2018, to submit copies of the episodes to the Copyright Office.
