Wolves could sign Jason Denayer on free transfer

According to Fabrizio Romano Wolves manager Bruno Lage has spoken about potentially signing free-agent and former Lyon Jason Denayer on a free-transfer.

The manager of the Premier League side said: “We’re happy with our centre-backs, but there’s a gap and if we have a chance to bring in one experienced player would be better. Let’s see what happens in the next days, I know Denayer very well.”

After being released by Lyon earlier this summer, Denayer has been looking at multiple clubs to sign on a free transfer. Valencia and Beşiktaş were the latest to be in contact with the defender, after Rennes were interested in signing the player earlier in the window – but the Belgian international was not interested in the move.

The centre back endured a rough end to last season after injury- and fell out of favour under Peter Bosz whilst struggling to agree on a new contract at OL.
