As reported by Ouest France, West Ham United’s attempts to sign Rennes centre-back Nayef Aguerd are being held up by disagreements over bonuses.
The English club approached Rennes last week but, despite talks since, no agreement had been found by last night say the local news outlet. The two sides continue to mull over what form the bonuses within the deal will take with a total fee, including bonuses, of between €35m and €40m being discussed.
The 26-year-old Aguerd, who was signed for €4m by Rennes from Dijon in 2020, is currently away with the Morocco national team and the deal will have to wait until his return for any resolution – although Le Parisien expect a positive conclusion soon.
