Santi Aouna is reporting that PSG are ready to bid €45 million for Reims striker Hugo Ekitike (19). Incoming sporting director Luis Campos has taken the reigns of the deal.
Although Ekitike is of interest to numerous sides across the continent, including Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, Aouna reveals that PSG have “stolen a march” on their competitors.
The Parisian club are now preparing to offer €45 million for the Reims striker. The deal is being driven by Campos, whose new recruitment policy targets younger, “less flashy” players that have “big room for improvement.”
Ekitike has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Reims, scoring 10 goals and registering 3 assists in 24 appearances in Ligue 1. In January, he turned down a move to Newcastle, later revealing that “the timing of the deal wasn’t right.”
