As reported by L’Équipe, PSG forward Neymar’s recent ankle injury, which saw the Brazilian number 10 miss 13 games before returning against Real Madrid in the Champions League this week, was worse than first expected.
The injury, sustained at Saint-Étienne in November, included ligament damage and a small fracture. This would explain why Neymar (30) needed two and a half months to recover rather than the six to eight weeks as was initially planned.
