L’Équipe report this evening that the LFP – Ligue 1’s governing body – has approved an extension to the deal that sees Uber Eats attach its name to French football’s top flight, until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Since the start of last season, Ligue 1 has been sponsored by the food delivery platform, in a contract which was extended this morning by the LFP’s administrative council.
Uber Eats are paying €15m this season as part of the deal, and in the next two campaigns will increase the figure to €16m and €17m respectively.
