The midfielder joined Nice in the summer of 2013 and it didn’t take too long for him to make the jump into the first team, officially being named as a first team member in the 2013/2014 season, before various loans to Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 teams such as Angers, Gazalec Ajaccio and Chateauroux.

It was at the latter of those clubs where Benrahma became an Algerian international and will now leave France for pastures new in East London, where he will team up with former Ligue 1 striker Neal Maupay as Brentford look to improve on their finish of 9th in last season’s Championship.
