RMC Sport report this afternoon that Lyon have reached an agreement with midfielder Maxence Caqueret for a contract renewal.
The 22-year-old is set to extend his stay with Les Gones until 2026, with his previous contract expiring at the end of next season.
Reports last month had indicated that Caqueret was mulling over Lyon’s offer in the wake of interest from Milan, and that the deal on the table to stay at the club would see him quadruple his current salary.
The new talks this spring have come after unsuccessful negotiations at the start of the season, with assurances now being put forward that he would take the captain’s armband in the future.
The French youth international is expected to put pen to paper on the new deal in the coming days, committing his future to his formative club.
