The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view took place on the WWE Network last night, and the show featured two unique versions of the titular match. First off, the show started with the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match, and the show ended with the first-ever 7-man Elimination Chamber match. These matches helped determine the champions and challengers for WrestleMania coming up in New Orleans, Louisiana, so as one might expect, a lot of newsworthy details came out of those Elimination Chamber matches. The Raw Women’s Champion going into WrestleMania has been determined and the Universal Championship match for the show is now confirmed.
Female competitors from Monday Night Raw competed in the Elimination Chamber match for the very first time in history during the pay-per-view last night. The odds were stacked against Alexa Bliss as she had to defend her title against Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose, but Bliss was still able to secure the victory and walk out of the structure with the Raw Women’s Championship. Bliss became the first woman to win an Elimination Chamber match by eliminating Sasha Banks. After the match, Bliss warned Royal Rumble winner Asuka that she is not ready for her. With Asuka’s opponent for WrestleMania still undecided, fans could be in for an Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka match for the title at the event.

Later on in the show, the men’s elimination chamber match saw seven of Raw’s top stars compete for the chance to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. Braun Strowman made a tremendous impact in the match by eliminating five of the competitors in the match, but in the end, Reigns was able to defeat Strowman and earn himself a shot at the title in April. After months of the match being rumored, it has now been confirmed that Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania in New Orleans. WWE later confirmed that Lesnar and Reigns will meet face to face on tonight’s edition of Raw.
