WWE News: More on Lio Rush's Future; Gallows & Anderson Update

— As reported over the weekend, Lio Rush is seemingly in the WWE doghouse again, not being used on Raw for consecutive weeks. The initial report suggested that one of the reasons for the internal heat was an incident with Finn Balor where Balor advised Rush that Vince McMahon probably wouldn’t like Lio bringing his wife to rehearsals.

— PWInsider.com reports that Rush was backstage at Raw last night but was not used and there’s a lot of talk that he will be shifted back to NXT in the near future. They also add that Rush is a “polarizing figure” backstage and cite an incident from 2018 on the European tour that reportedly did not endear him to other talent. As a junior member of the roster, Rush was expected to remain at the Gorilla Position, offering water to other wrestlers after their matches finished up as well as to carry coolers and drinks into the hotel and help set up a private area where everyone could socialize. Rush not only reportedly blew this all off but when veteran talent approached him to advise him that he was making a mistake, he went to management to complain. While things did calm down since then, PWInsider’s report also mentions that Rush was making a habit of bringing people backstage without the proper credentials or approval.

— Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are now on the Raw brand – as seen last night. Apparently this decision was made before the Superstar Shake-Up but only carried through last night. There has been no change in their status with WWE as both have contracts expiring later this year in the fall and have been offered new multi-year deals but have not accepted nor does it seem like they are interested in accepting.
